I wanted anyone who reads this blog to know that its days are numbered. I will not be renewing the mycoffeepot.org domain and this site is in the process of being moved to mycoffeepot.wordpress.com. Its still kind of broken but Im committed to working on it.

Thanks to Bonar and Reinhard for helping me with hosting. Thanks to Kevin for his help before that. Mycoffeepot.org was always meant to be something that I never got around to making it. Oh well. Thanks for reading!

While in Thunder Bay My brother showed me some pictures he got from our dad’s house after he passed away. This is a school pic obviously and I think it’s an 8×10. I snapped it with my iPhone.

A couple funny/cute things to note: My brother and I that year wore matching vneck sweaters to school. There’s an equally entertaining blow up of him. And I remember my mom as having taste –appropriate to the times anyway. Why weren’t we told to wear tshirts under those vneck sweaters? Weird.

Ok. I know I’ve been slacking with this blog. Oops. Just too busy living life I guess. Or slacking. Whatever. It’s not like this thing pays me. Maybe it should? Hmmmm

Went to Thunder Bay for the first time in ages. Got to visit my brother and his family as well as hang with some dear friends. Good times.

This sign is what greeted me in the airport front lobby. Is it called a lobby? Main terminal area. Whatever. By the doors.

I gotta say I’ve never been to this casino but I have heard about it. I really don’t like casinos in Canada and wish we didn’t have them. They cause way more misery than happiness.

So, I guess it’s been a while since I blogged. Here is a pic of me having a coffee on my say off. I’m in a Tim Hortons.

The reason I’m in a Tim Hortons is that I don’t have any fresh coffee at home. I’ve got a half-liter of cream in the fridge that’s been there since early June. I’ve really cut back my consumption to one takeaway cup a day and sometimes none at all. The reason? I quit smoking.

I finally did it!! I’m pretty happy about it too and it was so long in the making. I stopped smoking on June 1st of this year so it’s been almost 3 months!

Now my taste for coffee is going back up and I think it’s almost time to reintroduce it into my daily routine. Not too much–definitely less than before. But maybe I can replace all the OUT coffees with IN coffees and save a few pennies. Thoughts?

On July 11th Tam, Katie and I went to see Interpol and U2 at the Rogers centre.

We had the tickets from the previous year when the concert had been postponed by bono’s back.

And so it begins!! We get bracelets that I secretly enjoy.

On July 3rd, Katie and I went off to Sherwood Forest for an afternoon adventure!! Forest? No, it’s more of a park really. But, it’s a magical park right in Toronto!

So, the story goes that Katie and I had mid week grouping of two days off together and we decided to have a super road trip extravaganza. On the Wednesday we did wine and on the Thursday we went to Sudbury to see the nickel. Here is our story…

You may recognize this from the gallery below. For some reason the gallery program i’m using can’t handle video. Anyway, here it is for you to enjoy!

I guess the deal is they put these elevators in as a retrofit on buildings that were never designed to accomodate them and so there isn’t enough room between the elevators for the sliding doors. I’ver heard stories of dogs being killed by these things when their leash gets caught. Fun times!
